King Edward Park - Hāwera

Established in 1902, this Hāwera park is a charming example of Edwardian design. Clipped hedges shelter abundant azalea and rhododendron collections and beds of modern and heritage roses bloom alongside historic aged trees. The public garden also features a bronze Wendy Statue, a 150-year-old cannon and refurbished Observatory/Park Museum (open daily 10am-2pm). Seek out hidden features along pathways or bring a picnic to seated areas.
