Goodin Country Garden
Set amidst old coastal lahars, this country garden is shaped by dramatic volcanic rocks and anchored by a welcoming family home, with expansive lawns and mature trees surrounded by lush clivia, roses, and rhododendrons. Chris and Steak’s daughter, Nicci Goodin, is a prominent New Plymouth florist and much of the planting is with her creativity in mind.
The garden provides a fitting backdrop for photographer Emma Bass’s luminous floral works, exhibited here during the festival - an evocative dialogue between cultivated landscape and artistic interpretation of nature’s beauty.
There is plenty of room for a picnic, take some time out to relax and enjoy a Devonshire Tea.
