Taranaki Garden Festival

15. Goodin Country Garden

158 Mirikau Road, Warea 4381

Set amidst old coastal lahars, large volcanic rocks lend drama to this country garden. Spacious lawns spread out from the family home—the central anchor of the property. Mature trees are surrounded by lush plantings of clivia, roses and rhododendrons. Chris and Steak’s daughter, Nicci Goodin, is a prominent New Plymouth florist and much of the planting is with her creativity in mind.

This year, local artist Fay Looney’s Hydrangea Works will be on display throughout the garden, and photographer John Crawford will be exhibiting in the house with Horses Helping Humans as his subject. There is plenty of room for a picnic, take some time out to relax and enjoy a Devonshire Tea.

Garden tickets are no longer available to purchase online. You can purchase garden tickets during the festival from the garden gates, our Festival Hub or from any of our ticket outlets.
