1. Waiongana Gardens

74 Kairau Rd West, Waitara, 4373

This 4-hectare garden bound by the Waiongana River has many varied spaces, a sunken garden, rose garden, redwoods, native river walk, log walls and a developing produce area to name but a few.

The mostly flat terrain has enabled a large variety of easy walking avenues and vista viewpoints. This garden is well known for the herbaceous peonies that usually flower during the festival.

Scrumptious savouries, cakes, tea, coffee and cold drinks from The Cake Diary will be on sale in the Pavilion. This garden was featured in the June 2017 House & Garden magazine. Turn off Mountain Rd SH3A to access Kairau Rd West.
