Gather a group of friends and join us to celebrate the strength, passion and influence of Frida Khalo at the Frida Floral Fiesta! This Mexican themed party is sure to be the highlight of your social calendar!
The vibrancy and exuberant colours of Mexico await you with a night of mariachi singers, rich DJ sounds, Mexican cocktails and divine canapes. Dress in your brightest colours, floral headdresses and Mexican sombrero’s. Paint your face for Dia de los Muertos – ‘Love never dies’ and experience Mexico’s floral bright beauty, marigolds, daisies and blue azure while you dance the night away.
This event is inspired by Frida Khalo, the most inspirational and famous of Mexican artists – who was born in Mexico City in 1907. Frida is remembered for her self-portraits with bold vibrant colours, in which she portrayed her pain, passion and personal anguish.
From a young age, Frida presented herself as strong-minded, outspoken and brave, disagreeing frequently with peers at school. A revolutionary, she was known for her good-humored, tequila-drinking, warm and welcoming nature.
One of Frida’s great loves was her house and its garden, La Casa Azul, which is now an international tourist destination.
