GARDENA SPEAKER SERIES
With Mark Dean
Mark’s keen interest in our native flora led to him and his wife establishing Naturally Native, one of the country’s largest native plant nurseries in Tauranga. For over 40 years he has grown and promoted the use of native plants in NZ Gardens. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Loder Cup for his work conserving and promoting the use of our unique flora.
This session will take participants on a tour of the magnificent Te Kainga Marire garden, sharing practical information and stories of the plants as we walk around. There will be an emphasis on using our natives in coastal gardens; where to grow them, how to care for them and how to create your own successful native plant garden.
Mark Dean is sponsored and brought you by Te Kainga Marire.
